Hesh: Yep, I picked up set 7 of that cocobolo (and an adi top) from The Don and based on the looks of yours, can't wait to get mine. I like your description of "great karma". Last month I bought two sets of Honduran Rosewood, and a redwood top and that stuff is amazing. In fact, I liked it so much I've opted for another couple of the redwood tops from that same board. The photos on his New England Tonewoods site does not do justice to the wood he has. I'm looking forward seeing some of the stuff he'll be offering soon. I'm aware that he's been hoarding some really nice stuff. Between The Don, and The Zootman, I need a part-time job. ![]() |

Hesh, sorry to be off topic, but did Lacey cut that kokopelli figure for you? My customer wants a kokopelli inlay at the 15th fret and yours looks great. If Lacey didn't do it, can you tell me where you got it? BTW, nice zoot! |

Hesh Looks very nice. From what I remember, you have not made a guitar with cocobolo yet. Personally I LOVE the stuff. Despite it being heavy. I am currently on guitar #13 (one was a uke) It is cocobolo as well as 4 prior ones!!!! Andy Nice avatar.....but don't takes Colin's Mahogany |

Hesh & Bill- I picked up the other Cocobolo/Red spruce set from Don. I think they will get here Monday - I can't wait. What do you two guys have planned for your sets? I was thinking a non-traditional Advanced Jumbo copy with mine. Hesh, I like the Kokopelli inlay too, Lacey does nice work. Happy building guys- |
Wait a minute here. He ain't even a Siciliano!!! Let alone a made man. ![]() ![]()
Bob brings up a good point here. Out of "respect" for my Sicilian friends, we should probably come up with something different... This Scottish/English/Welsh/Irish/etc. guy just don't fit the bill... ![]() ![]() |
